Default New to Mazda '96 Miata - STi - and W140

Hello All,

Major car enthusiast here from Corona, CA... Bought a 96 Red Miata with 170k on the chassis and a blown head gasket. In the middle of replacing head gasket in my garage, and wanted to post a newbie thread before I started my miata project thread. Other than the Miata I also own a 2005 WRX STi that I bought brand new, and is currently equipped with a Garret 3076 turbo pushing 440WHP (stock 220whp) my dedicated track car/race car. I also own a W140 1998 S420 Merc as my current DD, which im hoping to replace the miata with that duty.

Here are some pics of my new whip and current whips:

Welcome to CR and I agree, nice cars! List of mods/fixes looks typical plus some. I'm curious: paint the back window black?

Thanks 7guy & Chris..

That was actually one question I had to ask, thanks for pointing it out.

I was thinking of using R/C car paint to "shade" or "tint" the back plastic window. They have gray colors/black colors, but it will be transparent.

That's a good point! I will flex and bend my R/C car bodies to see if they crack.

Is there a reason you're doing this instead of trying a tint film?
