Default custom wheel wells

I’m in the middle of redoing my car and have been thinking about making custom wheel wells. I was wondering if anyone has done this. I don’t want to lose any rigidity. I was thanking about using some universal trailer fenders. I was going to shave the bay but thought this would be better but i dont know how much room these will take up. Some day i want to do a ls swap and im gitting ready to get a super charger. So i was wonthing some pics and some thoughts.

heres a pic done in a 240 but i will be doing the hole iner fender

tubs, don't get universal tubs thats lame!
do it custom.
alot of 240 get this done because they run like 18x10's in the front with angle kits and rub tires all over the fender wells.
i don't think miatas really have this problem.
but it would be dope if some one did the baller wiay.
with gussets and bead rolled front sections.

again, forrest wang's new street car set up.

Depending on the arc, the trailer fender could be brilliant or a nightmare.

Don't be distracted by the spaghetti, here are a couple pics of custom inner fenders on Stan's old car.

I have done some tubs in 240's before looks basicly just like the silver one. I have also done some rear tubs in a few cars. I whould not buy the cheap universal tubs. They are very thin and just snap together at the seem. They would not have much rigidity. A trailer fender could work good for a miata depends how wide the fender is and how wide the arch is. The one's I have used were made for tubbing trucks beds. They are very heavy steel and are tig welded together at the seams and ground smooth. They were very smooth and looked great. you shouldn't have a problem with rigidity if you use good tubs and are welded in the car good.
