Even though I expected it to be small, it was even smaller than I was expecting in person...As a 6'2", 240lb person I can't say I was very comfortable in it, and my seat was literally touching the back seat when I adjusted it to where I needed. :/ I might buy one as a toy/fun car, but not as a daily.
I think the Gen Coupe, Mustang, or WRX/STi are more appropriate and practical for me at the same price point. It's not an apples-to-apples comparison but for a few thousand more you can have a Genesis 3.8 R-Spec that will do 13.6@104.1(InsideLine) and have more room and amenities(bitches love amenities), as well as the 10 year powertrain warranty. |

its pretty impressive for it's HP output...the low weight really helps. I would just love it if they both came with a 274hp 2.0T, ya know? imagine what it could do then? And I'm not going to buy one until they make it that way.

And when it comes with a weight-to-power ratio comparable to a STi or Evo, will you pay a comparable price to those cars?

Would be more willing, yes. I mean all they need to do is drop the motor in, I was always surpised it was going to be a N/A 4 banger. and you're still paying a nominal cost for the AWD, so if it had the same power:weight and was $5K less, then I'd be happier.
It all depends. I want to like these things, but somethings just not doing it for me. I have my eye on the wrx, ms3, or focus ST. |

After reading around a lot, it seems like the FR-S is way too tail happy if pushed hard enough. Kid got owned by his tail happy FR-S after coming from years of FWD. Expect to see a lot of this happening soon. Insurance is going to skyrocket for the FR-S & chances are that it will most likely affect the BRZs insurance cost as well.
I has a sad. |

They mounted the engine in a way that it can't be adapted for awd.
I just hope insurance doesn't sky rocket with this car. |

Oh no not the Subaru BRZ insurance, how dare those scion fags! Subaru owners are the epitome of responsible car owners and the poster children of safe motoring. How many dumbass flatbill wearing Subaru Bros have wrecked their cars? A LOT! How many of them decat their otherwise stock cars? A LOT Subarus already have stupid high insurance even despite their awesome safety rankings. The cars attract dumb people, just like many other imports or fast cars. Can't blame it on the scions, heck up until this point the scion crowd has been hanging in parking lots weighed down with 20" rims and 1000lbs of speakers haha. |

Three of the four you mentioned share something this car does not: front-wheel drive. The only RWD option was priced (MSRP-wise) well over the FR-S. This is a 240SX for the 21st century. |
