If this would've been available before the Genesis, there would be some sort of excitement on my end. Now it just seems like Toyota is desperately trying to stay relevant, and failing. Honda just gave up.

All of my want. I will be that moron buying it year one.
Hella disappointed on that interior though. Was hoping there'd be a nice tan leather option, but with the ricer red/black two tone here, I'm doubting it. |

i think we all need to take a step back, and remember our roots.
this thing wasn't "awe inspiring" in the looks department.. ![]() but it could perform incredibly. we're all spoiled now adays.. |

that "modellista" brochure is normal japanese style for all things new. i like it. straight to the point. no extra flash like us 'mericans demand.
and yes. they are trying to make another AE86. they have from the start. where have you been?

It seems that the plainer they try to make the car look, the more interesting it is...last gen supras look AMAZING without the huge oem wing, and i like mk2 Supras better...everyone loves the old 86...and its rather simple as well. Then the Celica got worse and worse the more "styling" they tacked onto it. |

2 things: 1) I agree the AE86 is one big "meh" for me as well. 2) The FT-86 seems to be a clean sheet design and not based on a Corolla, so why make it bland? PS - they should have zoomed in more in that picture... |

Not to mention the one time I sat in a scion tC, everything felt super cheap to me. I know its a <$20k car, but it felt more like a $10k car inside. |
