Default miata key?

okay i've been looking around for the past year for a decent looking blank key, i'm just wondering why doesn't mazda or anyone else have a decent looking aftermarket key like subaru? i mean the STI key looks AWESOME i would buy that blank key in a heartbeat if it was for a mazda. Anyone know where to buy a DECENT looking key? And i'm not talking about the chromed versions of the key on ebay. lol.

Aye. Didn't someone organize a group buy for those things a while back. I recall they were like $30 a piece or something. Definitely cool. Are there any more choices for Mazda?

NSX Monel Nickel Copper Alloy

MV Agusta Titanium

300ZX "Titanium"

Nismo

STi

WRX STi Type C

Toyota Universal

RX-8

Any other cool keys out there?

ummm....it is just a key....used to apply 12v into the ignition circuit and thusly, start your motor.

Ok, then again maybe it is just me. =D>

It's a key fob not a key blank.

I listed those keys just to show a sample of what's out there, not necessarily what will work in a Miata.

My first Roadster came with a key from Takeo Kikuchi (or at least branded by them); very nice. I once looked up how much there were.....£60 fora blank, or more than $100 in your money  Unfortunately, insurance company took the key off me when that car was totalled by thieves.

That NSX key blank was $100 but now I think they're no longer in stock at most Acura dealers. There were numerous threads on the NSX forums about people having a hard time finding anyone other than a dealer that was even willing to cut the key in case of a mistake since it was so expensive to replace.

Sweet. Is the snap-on really a key ring that was custom modified to be turned into a key or was it designed to be used that way?
