Post yer favorites in your area with location and a brief description. And pictures if you got them.
LOCATION: ATLANTA, GA Sushi Nami http://sushinami.com/ 5316 Windward Pkwy Ste B Alpharetta, GA 30004 (678) 566-3889 The Low Down: While a bit further north of Atlanta (in Alpharetta), this place by design is a fest on th eyes. Done in a very minimalist architechure of browns and warm lights illuminating the textured walls behind the sushi bar, the atmosphere is magical. The staff and sushi techs are first rate and they have a huge selection of Sake and beer from Japan. You also get real wasabi made in front of you and you must try the NY Strip roll while you are there. |

Resturant Murata
200 SW Market St Ste 105 Portland, OR (503) 227-0080 Super authentic sushi! Lots of Celebrity endorsement on the walls. The Food Network's Alton Brown called it, "The best raw fish I've ever had." And you can get your sushi any way you like it, as long as it's Murata-San's way. Umenoki 2330 NW Thurman St, Portland, OR (503) 242-6404 Classy, tasty, And great service. Mio Sushi 3962 SE Hawthorne Portland, OR 97214 (503) 230-6981 It's not the best but's it's close! That's my favorites. There are about 11 Sushi resturaunts in the City so I haven't tried them all. I did eat at a very nice sushi place in Studio City, CA that was super busy and had awsome o-toro, I think it was called Teru. |

Sushi Mac
8474 W 3rd St Los Angeles, CA 90048 (323) 653-3959 http://losangeles.citysearch.com/profile/32641638/ One of my favorite places to eat in all of Socal! They play awesome music there, and also a lot hot UCLA girls come in. Plus, its cheap to boot! $2.50 a plate, you can get full for 10 bucks there. Compare that to other sushi places in LA! |

Hobi's sushi is ichiban!
located in torrance cali, carson street. i dont know the exact address since i never send them letters. the lowdown: super super small place that sits about 8 people inside and another 6 outside. however hobi is a grandmaster sushi chef, it takes him about 45 mins to prepare your order but you will gladly wait for this caliber of food. its mad choice. |

Sushi Tei
1036 Castro St Mountain View, CA 94040 Phone: (650) 961-7272 http://yp.yahoo.com/py/ypMap.py?Pyt=...r:regT:1:fbT:0 ...they've been around forever and parking is ultra easy because it's away from Mountain View downtown. I guess their off downtown location hasn't put them out of business yet because their customers keep coming back with friends (like me heheh). |

ONAMI JAPANESE SEAFOOD BUFFET
West Covina Westfield Shoppingtown 1526 Plaza Dr. West Covina, CA 91790 tel. 626-962-8110 fax. 626-962-0369 http://www.o-nami.com/location/location.htm has a variety of sushi. they were all pretty good, but none of them wowed me. has a GREAT cooked food section, japanese salad bar, and AWESOME dessert section. carrot cake, tea cake, strawberries dipped in chocolate, all kinds of cheesecakes. they were all amazing, too. salads were good, unique. wins BEST OVERALL for a japanese sushi/seafood restaraunt for me. oh and the interior is very nice.. =D> |

got another one for ya.. just went to this one yesterday.
Aki's Sushi Bar and Thai BBQ 1626 E 7th St Long Beach, CA (562) 436-8180 sushi was great.. served in long plates and very artistic looking. $5 rolls when it is happy hour (3-5pm). beer and saki also have a sushi bar but i didn't try that out. best thai curry soups i've ever tasted. red, yellow, green curry.. you name it. try the roast duck curry it looks like they combined these two stores - sushi and thai food. they even have two signs out front. if they did .. it was a good choice. service was great too. =D> =D> =D> =D> |

Sushi-Sake 2150 North Collins Blvd Richardson, TX 75080 (972) 470-0722 A small traditional style Japanese sushi bar hidden off of North Collins and Alamo Road is the place to go for the freshest sushi around. Kaz Sushi Bistro Washington DC Very good. Some traditional, some French influenced. Not a fusion place. I'm a frequent repeat customer. Tokyo Bowl http://www.b4-u-eat.com/houston/rest...ws/rsv1352.asp Houston (Clear Lake), Texas Small cramped spot with a limited printed menu, but lots of off the menu items. |

Sorry, I don't believe in discount sushi or "all-you-can-eats". My sushi meals are usually $125-$200 per person and last 4 to 5 hours. Anyone down? Being that I'm a Certified Executive Chef doesn't mean I'm a food snob, but sushi is one area where only the highest quality RAW food goes into my tummy.
My favorites in San Diego are Taka in downtown, and Sushi Ota in PB. The key to good sushi and sashimi is to ask whats NOT on the menu or ask for the Chef's creation. |

Since moving back to Georgia, the only sushi I've had was in Kennesaw: Shogun on Busbee (not bad, but pricey) and the sushi buffet at RuSan's on Barrett (kinda gross).
Back in Maryland we always went to Sakura in Pasadena. Yum. |
