Yeah - watching qualifying now and saw the Spa recap last night - I did not know this but Hamilton's team asked the track stewards when that happened (Hamilton cutting the chicane) if he satisfied the conditions by falling back. They have this confirmed twice from race officials when it happened. They will be bringing this to the table today in their defense.

Also, there were a number of the same violations in the race that went un-noticed - including Massa pulling ahead of pole leader Hamilton before start of race - but that went un-noticed.

Just really lame - regardless of driver. Hamilton deserves the win.

as much as i am a major ferrari fan, i think lewis won that race outright.

the stewards have raised my eyebrows by imposing that penalty on him.

hopefully at the end of the month when they're at the table, my eyebrows will be restored to their former position by reinstating lewis as the official race winner.

You guys should have watched F1 Debrief. They went through ALL of the various "infractions" and "violations" that many drivers (including the 2 ferraris) had at Spa that they were not penalized for - including Kimi's passing of Hamilton and Rosberg under a local yellow (when Rosberg came back onto track and Hamilton went off-track as a result, right before Kimi spun).

The hearing will be the week before Singapore, so I guess we'll find out then whether they'll do the right thing and give the win back to Hamilton.

Oh, and Monza Qualifying was plain NUTS! Holy Holy Crap that was better than most of the races we've seen this year.

I watched the debrief and after watching it a few more times it was totally an acceptable pass by Hamilton.

Bad form from FIA

On to Monza......

GOOOOOOOOOOO STR BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck yeah I knew the Sebastians could do it!!!!!!

Yea, with the qualifying order it should be a very exciting race, especially if it is wet at all.

CONGRATS Sebastian Vettel and the Toro Rosso team - great to see a non-manufacturer win!

Just wow.

I'm so happy for him. And yes it's great to see someone win other than a factory team. The kid deffinetly has potential.

PF1 post-race winners and losers article --pretty awesome.

http://planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3265_4146728,00.html

It was an intense ass race. ITV presenters mentioned there is 60% rain in Singapore during the next NIGHT race. That would be seriously awesome.

I think the FIA should hose down the track before every race.

Rain = action
