I love ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/291821273075

For the princely sum of $23 shipped I just got a 1.6 clutch kit, master cylinder, tombstone, and a bunch of other misc parts. Seller must have been pretty clueless.

Is that clutch made out of cardboard? How can that be shipped for that rate?

Awesome deal regardless. Someone is cleaning out their garage or something.

Yes, $12-15k. I was looking at 06+ 3 (and maybe 5) series. I do love the 335d...

A Volvo v70r or s60r 2006+ are pretty neat. Awd, 6 speed, 300hp.

Personally I wanted simplicity so I opted for the non r version and got a T5. Still makes nice power. With nothing but a tune I would break the 300 hp mark.

Just a quick glance... it seems like most Volvos are either 01-05 or 2012+ and as much as the bimmer... I was hoping what you described would be like an $8k value bucket...

Volvos are really expensive out of the gate.

I just blue booked my M3. 11k private party. Yay! I'd say it's a practical car except it eats tires and has solid shims that require a very fiddly service every 30k.

How many miles are too many? It seems like 100k+ on a turbo motor is a lot...

Volvo pretty much made the reliable turbo motor. I have 190k and it can't die.

My 240 Turbo had 220k on it before a random oil leak killed it.

Cool. Just seems like heat and boost would be a bad time for tons of miles. Off to ponder...

Seller canceled the auction and refunded me after realizing they were getting hosed on shipping. Not sure if that's allowed but I can't be bothered to file a case through ebay.

Chevy needs to bring back the "Roadmaster" nameplate. Such an epic name for a vehicle. Road master. The master of the roads. Fuck yeah.

Also stuff that ends with "Ultra" like Park Avenue Ultra or Lacrosse Ultra. Fuckin' ULTRA. The best. THE BEST. IT'S THE ULTRA.

And Cadillac needs to quit being BMW and bring back Seville, Deville, Eldorado, and shit that has "brougham" in the name. Caddy nameplates should be three feet long and read like a Panic at the Disco song title. "El Dorado Sport Touring Coupe Brougham" hell the fuck yeah.

Anyone have a source for a custom car badge? I want it to be about the same size (height and width) as the Miata badge.

Yup, Craig in the UK, here is his profile on m.net:
http://forum.miata.net/vb/member.php?u=119112

And a thread with some examples:

I was in correspondence with him about one and need to get back to him. Prices were reasonable and he was friendly, courteous and professional thus far!

Really? US manufacturers toyed with diesel, did it wrong, and it's reputation was ruined.

Anyway, diesel particulates give you cancer. It's a shame, but they all have to go.

Eh. I want a Hilux. I could run it on B100/B85. I'd be ok with that.

Of course it's 'too small' for the US market or something.

I wish more people bought the Chevy Cruze diesel. It was surprisingly competent, but far too expensive.

Huh. I've had a Chevy diesel truck since 2003 and I don't have cancer (knock on wood). Why are European, Asian, Australian markets so hot for diesel if it's so dirty? (I suspect new diesel isn't that dirty.) And anyway, Mazda isn't a US manufacturer.

Most American car buyers are anti-diesel and I think that is lame.
