do you have the oem blinker things in place, or actual vents for air to enter the engine bay? I know many people on miata.net have put some h4 bulbs in the oem pieces but i would much rather put hid's in place of those and project enough light for me not to have to flip mine up..

WHile it may project enough light it would be a completely useless light as those turn signals really don't have much light shaping so they'd balically just be a flood light. WIth the H4s it'd be a decent "CIty light" so you don't have to pop up your lights when you don't need them to see.

Another option would be cutting up the husing and mounting HID driving lams in there. It might put out some decent light.

Default Re: installing HID in TSIs?

first the projection of the reflector is completely wrong

second the housing is not made to withstand the heat

third the angle of the housing will be too low

um...
