Default Bored so I painted my valve cover.... Orangish Copper

1st coat was with white (makes the orange/copper brighter) then I sprayed the orange. Random color. Different. Looks better in person. Enjoy

I got the paint from my local pep boys. The 1st coat was dupli-color high temp engine enamel(white). The orange color is Dupli-color Metal Specks Burnt copper.

How did you go about leaving the raised letters unpainted? Just tape them off, or did you use some other method?

Rub a little vaseline  or chap stick on the letters (the paint won't stick) then just razor blade it off

I think mine has recessed letters, will the same method work? That's one thing that's been keeping me from painting mine. Seems like a PITA to tape off the recessed lettering.
