When people say FM style I thought it was referring to dissembling the rack and removing the seals.

There is one loop and its the loop on the steering rack. You can loop the lines on the pinion if you like, but its not needed. I capped those.
FM cuts the seals (ie remove the seals and fill with grease). You can take it a step further and weld the input shaft thing so there is zero play (but you need to be careful with that). |

I booked marked the weld thread. But I'm not ready to take the rack out, how about one I can do with the car on the lift?

You must not've seen the 949 twindisc on that list  comes with flywheel, whole setup ready to go on the car is about 20lbs lighter than OEM 1.8l stuff  also forgot to mention header for those with a cast iron boat anchors like NB1's either a stripped down(remove brackets for heatshields & just run a track dog header blanket) '01+ header or aftermarket save a sginifigant amount of weight, looks cool and gains some whp's and as mentioned the rear muffler is HEAVY....on my NB I simply deleted it and added a turndown tip off the midpipe...a little aggressive sounding but not super loud IMO...I only got pulled over once around midnight on a street with a bunch of bars |
