Ok so my good friend teammate and fellow CR member drive the canyons ALOT and after a uphill run my motor started making a noise, i think its valve tap due to a bent valve, and my friend says its lifter tick due to a starved lifter, sooooo, witch one is does it sound like? and witch one is worse? im not a mechanic and i dont know much, any help would be appreciated

Dunno. Let it run for 30 seconds or so then shut it off. Let it sit for about 5 minutes then start again. I just recently did some head work and did not soak the lifters in oil when removed. So I had the most unbearable lifter tick. After about 6 or 7 start ups it went away.
