Default Motor Mounts

Is there a difference in the Mazda Compettion motor mounts and the Mazdaspeed Comp mtor mounts?

Mazda Comp mounts listed with FM $39.95 each *good catch turbored

MS Comp mounts listed with FM Finishline $99.95 pair
MS Comp mounts listed with Moss and Goodwin $59.95 pair

I thought there were only 2 mounts Mazda Comp and Stock, now it appears there are three MS, Mazda Comp and Mazda OE.

Which ones to buy for the 'stain?

I just e-mailed Jason at Montgomery Mazda (OnLineMazdaParts.com). Jason knows his stuff!
I'll post his reply when I get it.

Jason's answer:

The Mazda Comp are the most aggressive. The MS mounts from the MSM are the ones that I am using on mine. They are @30% stiffer than the NC10's which are @10% stiffer than the old NA01's.

I've asked Jason to get prices... I'll post them when I hear back. He's usually lower than the other vendors... Plus he offers free ground shipping on orders over a certain amount (not sure on the amount since I'm local).

are these mounts that will work on both the 1.6 and 1.8? I am in the market for some mounts too, upgraded ones are always nice, but I dont want it to be too stiff so the MSM ones sound good.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you guys are confused.

Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development (MMD)
Mazdaspeed Competition
Mazda Competition
Mazdaspeed

are all commonly used names for the same thing (the first one being the only correct current name).

See their site:

http://www.mazdamotorsports.com/

Now, if someone is saying that the 2004-2005 OEM turbo edition had special motor mounts that are different than the standard 90-05 mounts AND the MMD mounts, that's something I would like to hear details about.

This is a pic of a Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development heavy duty motor mount (same for L + R, same for 90-05):

FM says (re: mount brackets):

Does not include the rubber as that is the same for 1.8 and 1.6 engines.

Mounts are the rubber bits that reside inside of the mount brackets.

There are 3 mounts then-

OE
Mazdaspeed Miata (NB Turbo) 10% stiffer than OE
Mazdaspeed Motorsport Development 30% stiffer than MSM

Actually, they sit upon the brackets and under the motor. There are protective covers that snap over the rubber mounts, but they are not technically part of the mounts or the brackets.

I can get people the MMD ("Mazda Competition") ones (or any other MMD parts...) but my prices would be about the same as Moss':
