Default 1.8 transmission compatible with 1.6 engine?

ok i have a 93 miata with a 1.6 engine and i was wondering if a 1.8 transmission is compatible with a 1.6 engine like plug and play or do i have to modify something , the reason i ask is because i will need a transmission soon and most people sell 1.8 transmissions not really 1.6

thanks

But sure, just keeping encouraging the lazy monkeys to waste bandwidth!!

WOW, really ok yes easy to find the answer to this question but there is no reason to get all butthurt because someone didn't search. All this hate isn't helping just ignore the post if you don't like it's not hard.
