long story short i took my cam gets off when we rebuilt my motor marked the knotches with a paint pen of what notch goes on the pin sicking out of the cam. bad news is that the parts washer likes to take off paint and now their gone! does anyone have any pictures of their motor with the cams positioned to the correct spot with no timing belt on or at TDC from a top view so i can see the lobes and know which of the 2 knotches to put my cam gear on.

The scrub forum poster, vol 1 act 1:

"hmm, I have a car problem that is probably one of the most-covered topics on internet forums. But how can I find out about it?" He wondered aloud, scratching his neckbeard. "Maybe instead of searching I should make a thread, then maybe nev will laugh at me and post a link!" He leaned back in his char in elation, "Yes, this plan will definitely work."

act 2:
The scrub gazes at his masterpiece thread, "This lack of capitalization and general punctuation is just the thing to rope nev in." He mused, "Now, lets add a really laborous run-on sentence that nobody can follow."

"Perfect."

I legitimately had to re-read your post like 5 times to understand what you actually meant. you're talking about the way the cam gear bolts to the shaft itself. The little lobe on the intake camshaft, or key, goes into the slot that is pointing towards the I. Same on the exhaust side, except with an E.

there ya go big guy
