Any tips before changing my broken timing belt?

Before i go tearing into this thing id like some opinions, i just picked up a 94 and after about 2 weeks of perfect driving it just died out and has no spark. Im guessing coil pack? Anything else i should look for? Please dont flame me bro

EDIT. VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

About to attempt to replace the timing belt is their any tips to make this process easier im just going off info online to do this. I am not in a huge hurry to do this but it doesn't seem all that difficult any tips that would make this easier would help. :|

gotta check to see if you still have spark.
pull a spark plug wire out, stick a screw driver in there, put close to the valve cover, have some one turn the key and see if it arcs
if it arcs, you have spark.

if it arcs, pull a spark plug out and see if it's wet.
if it's wet, you have fuel.

I was originally thrown off because i was over empty on the tank, i thought i just ran out of gas because it died out when i was going around a corner. I thought maybe it was a fuel pump issue after i put 3 gals in it and still didnt start. Then checked for spark. Damn random things lol

Check for codes first, code 1,2,3 are for cas, ignitor and coilpack (not necessarily in that order). You can check voltages for the CAS, igniter and coilpacks... if those pass, check wiring and grounds to and from the ECU.

If all of that checks out, make sure the timing belt still turns the cams. TB could be broke, which isn't spinning the crank to cams, which is not letting the ECU know that the crank is spinning. My intake cam broke which gave me the run around since I did not want to pop the valve cover (though I did verify the exh cam was rotating thru the oil cap as per CR.net's suggestions).

are you doing this to try to remedy your current problem? If so, it's not going to fix it.
