humming/whining noise

So on my 91 I've had this noise ever since I got the car, and I cannot seem to figure out what it is. It only makes the noise between 42-48 MPH and its definitely coming from the rear of the car. At first it seemed like it was a ring and pinion noise, and since I was having other problems with the diff I swapped it with another 90-93 open diff. All the other problems but that hum/whine noise went away.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has has a similar issue.

While I was underneath it yesterday at work doing the oil change I noticed the inner CV boot on the drivers side is starting to tear, but not slinging any grease out yet, pretty sure its unrelated but thought I would include that anyways.

Thanks in advance for any helpful input.

It does it regardless of what gear I'm in, just between those speeds and only when I am on the throttle.

wife?? girlfriend??
We stopped going anywhere in my car because she thinks its too low to be climbing in and out of(eibach springs on kyb gr2 shocks) but when she was in the car her whining usually started at about twice those speeds.

Differential mounts.

I have the noise too, I'm just waiting until spring to put in an Energy Suspension Master Bushing kit.

Depending on other factors like mileage, previous owner's maintenance, etc., you can probably get away with just doing the diff bushings
