My moms car is a 92 with a "supposive" 1.8 but to me looks like a 1.6 and I'm pretty sure it is. Hey crank key (I think thats the name) broke off on her way home. So its pretty much trashed and we were thinking about possibly welding the key back in but i don't think that will happen. I got a 1.8 i was going to build for my car downstairs but I said she could have it. She needs a car more then I need a built engine. Flyin Miata sells the kit and it looks very straight forward just need some other parts to go along with it like the intake catalytic converter and alternator. I got pictures of both motors so I will show as much as I can. And don't hate my captions I put in them haha. Paint sucks :fab:. How long should it take me to swap it all out since she does need it for work doing home health. She can use my car but I drive 30 min to school twice a week. Can the old motor be saved? How much is that piece in the pictures? Ive done research and we are gonna just swap it out like Ive said before. Thanks for any input!
