I just ordered a CompClutch Stage 5 clutch. I've done clutches before not really worried about that. I was just curious as to what I may run into on the miata. I've never done it on a miata before. I'm taking it over to the shop so it'll be on a lift which should make it much easier. Only thing is I have to take the flywheel and have it resurfaced.
Any one run into any notable problems when they did theirs? Maybe some tips to make it quicker?
ive pulled transmissions left and right lol its pretty simple i think the most pain in the ass part is that you will have to wind up fighting with the exhaust but remove the center consoul shift boot, knob, and shifter itself unscrew the speedo cable if its manual pull your sensors and your pretty much good to go ive never pulled the diff/trans brace just left it hanging by one bolt but ive always done it on the floor soo its prob easier for you to do that
and if you havent replaced your throw out bearing its pretty cheap you might as well do that too just to be safe....mine was ok i took my trans out didnt replace ming and then 2 weeks down the road it started makin noise
Oh yea, it came as a kit. I would never put in a clutch without a new throw out bearing.
Thanks for the heads up.
