I looked at my engine bay today and among many other thoughts, one stood out. This **** is dirty. I got a can of engine bright and a gallon of simply green and went to work.

There is still so much I am planning on doing. Either buy a painted valve cover or get mine powder coated. Get rid of that stock intake. etc. etc.
I wish I was talented enough and had time to do a wire tuck.
Be careful when using any degreaser on aluminum because it will cause oxidization (white powery residue) after awhile. Other than that, looks great! Did you just spray on and spray off or did you get in there with a rag and physically wipe down various areas?
^Troll fail. While you are kinda of correct in noticing the color change, the first picture was taking in my garage, aka florescent light. The after was taking outside in natural lighting. So yes there was a slight change in the color due to the environment.
And as far as photoshop, I am going to take that as a compliment on two hours of work under the hood and a lot of elbow grease. So thank you!
Yeahhhh. It makes the cover look a lot more flush. I think I am going to DIY it. Any suggestions on material? I will start tomorrow and try to do a write up if its successful.
