Hi guys, my 2002 Nb just hit the big 60,000 mile mark. I want to do a proper tune up. So far on my list is plugs, wires, timing belt, valve cover gasket, motor tranny diff fluids, and possibly water pump. I got the Miata in Feb, so this is the first I'm changing anything. Although the cars drives amazing and there have been no signs of anything dying, I'm obviously going to do this stuff as it's preventative maintenance. Could I get some opinions/ stories/ tips/ suggestions from you guys?
Is the OEM 60k package worth it? Should i just buy certain parts? From where? I'm not a complete and utter noob idiot, I just want to make sure this is done right.

Yes, my buddy and I will tackle this later this weekend hopefully. Egh, this is expensive but it needs to get done. Anything else
-plugs
-wires
-timing belt
-water pump
-valve cover gasket
-fluids
-Coolant
-fuel filter?
-any other gaskets?
Rosenthal Mazda used to have good prices on kits. That's where I think I got mine a few years back. Where ever you get it from let us know how much. I know I'm about due again.
so many people have been messing up timing belt jobs on MTnet lately its funny.... make sure the intake and exhaust cam lobes face away from eachother on cylidner 1 as a dummy proof check... thats how people do it on NA's atleast.
I'd do it too...timing belt job is a bunch of stupid tasks just to get random things out of the way, then 10 minutes to actually change the belt...the water pump's the same way, so since you have all the things out of the way...just do itttt
