Title says it all. I was tightening the last bolt in my valve cover and, thanks to my own stupidity I over tightened it and snap. This is more of a rant than me wanting advice but, any suggestions as to my next step?
........ i would shoot myself in the foot before i RETAPPED my aluminum head over a valve cover bolt....... if the bolt was over torqued so hard grips won't take it out just sell the car and your license
I snapped my center one when I first got the car lol. I haven't fixed it yet... there's a half of a screw in the center, but it seems to be sealed, so... I'll fix it later?
The night before, I sprayed some WD-40 around the broken bolt ands let it seep in. When I used my reverse drill-bit to start the pilot hole for the EZ-Out, the bolt came out straight away - I didn't even need to use the EZ-Out bit!
