I'm getting vibrations on the highway that could rattle your teeth out it's not the factory shimmy no front end slack at all and I balanced the tires myself . The vibe seems to come and go so I was thinking maybe driveshaft u joints. Has anyone else had a similiar problem any help would be great thanks
Like I sAid I shook the front end down myself and checked the rear out right after I put the motor in it there's no slack nothing loose. I haven't got it on the alignment rack yet but I'm not really sure that has anything to do with it. That's why I was thinking driveshaft since the ujoints aren't servicable. Has anyone had the ujoints wear out? If they could tell me what there car did it would be helpful.
Are you hub centered? I know some people scoff at it, but I've got quite a vibration issue as well, two balances and it's still there, No centering rings exist for the wheels I have. So I'm just going to rattle a bit.
yup. I had my u-joints fail and it was a nasty vibration at like 29mph-32mph and thats it. More or less and it would be gone. Lift your car up and feel the driveshaft for play. You will know when its time.
his car is stock with stock wheels so i don't think its a hub centered problem. i haven't rode in the car since all this happened so i can't explain how it feels myself.
