I've really been looking at buying on of the fujis just cause it doesn't weigh anything at all. Granted the CS is 14 lbs but that's a little loud for some including mr. popo

I just watched the youtube video and I've got to say that I like the tone of the Fujitsubo exhaust quite a bit. It also seems slightly quieter than the Racing Beat in the video, does this seem to be the case in person or was it just a trick of my mediocre computer speakers?

I thought it was louder than the RB exhaust, but not annoying.
Main reason I'd spend the 600 bucks on it though is the weight savings, if it'd be noticeable. Adds up. A couple extra hp is always nice too combined with weight savings but I don't expect much in that department from any exhaust really. And I have no issues with that either. |

yeah its really not that loud at all, and its got a good tone to it. the thing is a piece of art though, ide buy one just because of how awesome the welding is on it.

Has anyone done a comparison of weight between the Fujitsubo and the RB Muffler + Connecting Pipe?
17 lbs for a whole setup is really freakin' light, but for those of us that are looking at weight savings as the primary purpose for this... I'm curious to know the difference. EDIT: also, just to shop around ... Goodwin has the RB Mufffler + Connecting Pipe for $398. This is why the weight is critical to any decision I make. I can live with the tone of either system. I need to know if it's worth the additional $200. |

Grrr. Anyway, even Miata.Net had very few references to the stock catback weight. Those guys said it was 21-22 lbs. I was hoping someone still had their catback lying around so we could get a fresh measurement.
EDIT: maybe the measurements were wrong, or were of an aftermarket catback. See subsequent posts for new measurements of stock catback... |

Dude, I have exactly what you want, 304 stainless canister it looks stock but its deeper than stock, and gives you a nice growl. It came with the car, so no idea who makes it |
