Decided to start a sticky where you can post audio/mpeg/avi or what have you of any Miata facory or aftermarketing exhaust system. This sticky is mainy for audio files - not just pictures.

Post any link including year or Miata and any additions that may alter the exhaust note (intake, headers, engine, etc).

Let's please keep this only to Miata exhaust systems.

took sound clips from 3 different Miata's with RS*R GT2 exMag exhaust.

FYI - All cars had silencer in & engine was operating temp.

Kyle's report on this exhaust:
"I called it the Clubman Type New since retrorocket has a Clubman exhaust that looks different and is no longer advertised by Pit Crew so I'll call his Type Old. The video looked much better on my PC. Google must have compressed it. I'll try hosting it elsewhere for optimal quality. Anyways, this video gives a good representation of what the exhaust sounds like. It is a straight design with no resonator and a small muffler at the end. It is loud. It sounds like a Spec Miata racer. "

**Note my car (freedomgli) had an exhaust leak between cat and mid-pipe at the time this video was shot so take this for what it's worth. It will be loud regardless of the leak. Tuned has no exhaust leak in his video above and you'll hear the same tone but just a tad quieter than my video. Very sporty!

Im uploading the Racing Beat exhaust I just put on my Fathers car. It had a straight pipe on in this video. Theres a Jackson Racing Highflow cat on there now. Ill take video of it as it sits no later.

On a side note, I made this video an instructional install vid. At least I tried to. In view of Tims ( I think ) videos of his engine pull and various install videos, I say we make an instuctional video section. Its like having a garage section, but with videos instead of write ups! That would kick ass

If any of you are considering a custom exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler, here's an example. This is a stock 1.8 with a stock cat and exhaust manifold, no resonator and one oval, 14" magnaflow muffler.

Cheap ebay muffler and 2.5" tubing from the turbo back, with a cat. I think that I am going to be adding the resonator that I have just sitting in my room here soon just to calm down the loudness.
