Pitcrew Racing Centre Exit

A bit of a story to this so bare with me!

I went to the Silverstone Classic a few weeks back and after looking at numerous E Type Jags and Lotus's I knew I had to buy a centre exit for the Roadster.

That sunday I found this on Yahoo Auction JP,

I emailed Jesse Streeter and he put in a bid for me. I was outbid and I felt it was getting too dear so I dropped out the bidding war.

A few days later I found another one for sale, with no bids due to the starting price,

As you can see from the pics there was a bit of damage to the silencer but I didn't mind. I emailed Jesse again and he put my max bid in.

Now, Jesse put the bid in without asking for any money when the bid was placed. I ended winning the auction then paid in full. As I bought the Watanabe's through Jesse he knows I'd pay up, but he really is a sound guy!

Any way, thanks to Japanese shipping practises, anything over 150cm cannot be shipped. I ended having my exhaust cut in half

Not to worry though as I got it back today from the welders.

That is where the pipe was welded.

Skidder plate welded where the silencer has scraped on the floor.

One more shot just for the sake of it,

My buddy is dropping round his machine polisher in a bit, so I'll set to the end can later on!

That looks amazing. Your welder guys did one hell of a job on it too! I can't say I have seen a better weld. In for seeing pics installed.

wow, that looks nice. I wounder if it would have been just as cheap/cheaper to have a shop custom fab one, though.

It cost £20 to weld for all welding, so around $30?

And being a proper fanboy I wanted a Pitcrew Racing pipe

Its gonna look great! Much nicer than the one that was for sale here on cr a few days ago, thinking of getting a zoom eng center exhaust for mine next time

the pitcrew center exit is THE loudest exhaust i have ever heard on an NA.

The first exhaust you didn't win was pcr. The 2nd one looks like zoom. Either way, nice score. The pcr I had on my car had an exhaust leak that made it even louder and more raspy than normal. I believed tuned in Canada got it from me and fixed it up but I can't recall if he still has it or not. Shipping exhaust systems is a pain. Not too big of a deal to cut it. Sound clips?

I researched it for ages by looking at Road&Ster, I'm deffo sure its a Pitcrew exhaust

Zoom exhausts are two piece.

I'm planning on running a test pipe to replace the cat too.

After looking at the blue potatos blog I might have to get something fabbed up like so,

I was polishing the silencer last night. Will do more today.
