Default chrome pillar?

How would you go about chroming the windshield pillar like this car? Would it have to be special paint, or would vinyl work? Anybody have experience with this?

I think that car has the Autoblaze windshield trim which is very rare and has not been available new for many years now.

Yes, you could paint it with a chrome-like paint or cover it with automotive grade reflective vinyl. I think someone was working on a new windshield trim but I can't seem to recall who that was. You could contact your local metal fabrication shop and ask them to make something for you out of aluminum. That's what JoeyB did to his side sills. Aluminum polishes up real nice.

Chrome vinyl works just fine. Get it from your local sign shop. Noah sells it here.

really? Do you have enough strips left to cover the pillar in three strips? I'm interested.

Leni Metro at one point considered making another 3 pc polished windshield frame piece (ala autoblaze) - very hard to do. Great look and the pics above are some of my favorites.

damn. Somebody needs to start making them again. I think I'll experiment with vinyl in the mean time.
