Default Hard top ideas

I was thinking about some cool things to do with my hard top today and i made a few quick and messy photoshops for a general idea. Let me know what you think.

I like the 2nd one a lot. For the 1st one, if you made it into a red target or pin wheel, it might work better.

Keep in mind the "rising sun" visage doesn't notate much positivity if you lived through WW2.

especially elderly korean, chinese, filipino people... granted it is a striking logo, and does look pretty neat.

but go read a little about japan during ww2 and it becomes a little less attractive.

Try making the second one smaller scall so you can see more of the battleflag on there.

I read some about the rising sun and WW2, but the rising sun flag is also the current military flag for Japan. Is it still a negative thing?

Yes i have but i think it just seems too much like the soft top and i like the look of the same color/same color with design better than all black.

two words: leapord print.

but seriously, the rising sun is a cool idea. i was thinking about doing that on my car, only starting on the trunk lid, and having the rays go all over the car.

in a word, YES.

and not just to elderly chinese, korean and filipino people - to all chinese, korean and filipino people with any sense of history.

i'd liken it to running the general lee colors.

I see the Confederate flag on a daily basis down here... It probably offends plenty of people, but rednecks will be rednecks...

your right. even my japanese roommate wasnt 100% behind it.

I wouldnt say negative like a swastika (even though they were axis... like mexico lol), but yeah I agree with the confederate flag idea.

The rising sun is not the current military flag of Japan. Japan does not have a military. The closest thing to a military that Japan has is the Self Defense Forces, and they use it. BUT it was used during WW2 by the Japanese navy. (not the entire military).

I'm Japanese. I would not put that on my car at risk of my car being keyed or vandalized, even though I think it looks cool.

Reminds me of a koi. Not a bad look IMHO. Regarding the rising sun, no. It is the confederate battle flag.

Is this flag (japan ground self-defense force) offensive? i think it is a nice variation of the design.

it is a variation, but it's too close to the WW2 stuff. I wouldn't put it on my car.
