C/F hardtop added.

I recently added a c/f hardtop to the car. Thank you, Tony.

Loving life right now. Took out the soft top for further weight saving.

Hope you guys like how the car looks.

You can see the c/f weave in this pic.

youre really making me wish I went tith the RB's...

and dont get me started on the drop!! Suspension geometery be dammed! its hot!!!! there could be a 3 page thread at M.net telling you how wrong that is, but who cares when it looks like that!

yeah. looks good. I think I see you rolling through turtle rock every once anc a while? I'm never in the miata. But if you see someone eyeing you from a silver AMG Benz, you don't have to feel so creeped out anymore.

BTW, did you get a whole new bumper when you switched exhausts?

No words on the VRTL yet, Bill. I didn't change the bumper when I was using the Shot Gun, it fiited just fine.

Looks killer! I'd never have thought about going down to 13" wheels... but they look killer! I like the hard top, black trunk and black rear panel.

You don't even need a professional photographer to shoot your car, these pics are ready for submission to JTuned. All you need are some more interior and underhood shots and you've got a JTuned feature car right there.

Importfan.com has them listed at $1499. They are the only company besides axis power to make them stateside.

thanks for the love, guys. The top is made by C Wings. From I know, they no longer produce that top, although it's still listed on their website. Tony sold it to me because he wanted to get a white hardtop instead. I mounted the top using SpecMiata hardtop brackets.

Just to clairify, this top is not like the axis top. My axis top wieghs under 10lbs and is a true carbon piece. The C Wings and Importfan tops are fiberglass with a carbon cloth layer on the outside.

hey matt,
how is the axis version? a guy at the local autox has the axis one and he had a lot of problems with the seal around the windows coming off.

Yeah, Matt. The top is not as light as the Axis one. I weights in about 20-25lb. Slightly lighter than OEM hardtop. Wish I have the means for a Axis hardtop.

20-25lb.s is still a lot lighter than stock, which is something like 44-48lbs IIRC. Also- I think Tony had put a stock glass window on there. It would be a lot lighter still if you had an acrylic rear window on there.

man that is hot, i was wondering when you would post up some pics ahahha

oh, i say get rid of those wack stickers on the rear filler piece. other than that, PIMP!

the axis version is like all thier other stuff. All race, no show.

I don't know about fitment around the window as my car doesn't have windows right now. (long story) It is super super light. I can hoist it over the car only holding onto one edge.

Yours is probably a better looking piece. But this one is finished in a flat clear coat, so it has a unique look.
