My "dubber" friend does these all the time
He uses:

Its basically candy-clear in a can. I think he still clears them.

His always turn out really nice too.

They do but you have to redo em every few years even w/clear..... Vinyl is much better and easier to remove.

Dont waste your money on that can of tint, go to michaels or jo anns and pick up krylon glass stain, it works way better and its cheaper. and you dont have to wait on shipping!

Thanks man! and i was standing right next to it the whole time, the furthest i went was the red jetta that was grilling. although i did have to leave the meet early as i had a coolant hose explode lol. sorry you didnt get to talk to me.

Mine have been done for years and are as durable as my paint.

I initially tried the rattle can method, but looked bad in less than a year.

IIRC someone on here did an LED conversion for the altezzas. I would also mask off the reverse light and possibly the turn signal light. I would to do a chop job before you actually paint the lights.
