my new rims, once you go black....

hey guys, im pretty new here. i've had my miata for a couple months now and i've been ridin on some pretty fly 18s

courtesy of the previous owner. I just bought a set of used "16 rims(mad light) to go with my black on black on some more black theme, they could use a fresh coat of paint but not bad for $300. i've done all the tinting since i've had the car. next im gonna lower the front a little and i'm playing with the idea of amber tinted headlights w/the black eyebrows....its a work in progress but let me know what you think

Doesn't look bad. You better have the performance to back up the all black look though.

haha not yet, for now im just a poser...its mostly stock but at least im not reppin a non-hooked up innercooler, i have plans of building an mp62 kit, just bought a used powercard and brp box so thats a start....

Congrats on getting rid of the getto rims. I'm a big fan of black rims.

K1's are nice. I probably would prefer them in silver. But black is cool. If you repaint them, go with a more satin/matte finish. Looks better against the shiny black paint and helps prevent your tires looking like dried up, crusty turds even when they have NXXTOMGSOSHINY ARMOR ALL on them.

I know this from experience.

Also: stop saying "rims". Everybody. Seriously.

I heard blacks are bigger... so wouldn't you go from 18 to 20s instead of 18s to 16s?

when its time for new rubber, i can always tell when wheels have been painted...and so can everyone else, i was thinking the same thing about a matte black. As for the headlights, i definitely went too dark, looks ok but its just not bright enough and you don't notice the eyebrows, i shouldn't have listened to my buddy ranting "na man go a little darker

"....stupid, anyway i'll redo them when i get an afternoon to myself.

Some "wheels" can not be powdercoated. It has to do with the heat treated process.
