Touge Run Lip vs Garage Vary lip: Help.

I am curious to know what the major difference between these 2 lips are because i ordered the garage vary from gomiata saying it was in stock, but now i got an email saying that they are actually back ordered and can get the Touge Run lip which is very similar. Meanwhile i order the side skirts at the same time thinking i would be receiving my front lip around the same time.

-- I just got my side skirts today .

Alternative is just to say no and get my money back and settle for some ebay ones or get the touge run lip.

thoughts?

Get your money back Gomiata is notoriously bad. The Garage Vary lip is the original and made in Japan. Touge run is a copy and generally a lot cheaper. Cancel your order and grab one from rspeed.net.

Also despite what you will hear all Garage Vary lips arent made of FRP, they also made Urethane ones.

yeah fairly new i only order from go miata because i thought i saw the lip was out of stock on rspeed. but just got off the phone from someone from rspeed and they got them so going to take your advice and cancel my order and get it from rspeed.

Good, I hope gomiata gives you a full refund I hear even that is a little difficult these days. Rspeed.net is awesome check out there Ebay page as well lots of good deals there.

yeah they should at least update their website saying it was out of stock. but i did get my side skirts and will keep them since ill be ordering my lip from rspeed as soon money transfers back. doing business from both sponsors of clubroadster i guess lol.

I ordered a GV lip from Rspeed and 10 days after I ordered, I got the box from Japan. Awesome service for an item that was supposedly "backordered".

If its just for looks go on Craig's or eBay and get a generic one. Save a lot of money and call it a day

They should just be honest, they have no inventory, all they do is be a middleman, so there's no way the customer could have picked it up anyway. It just sucks saying oh, well you paid me X amount of dollars to order this from a supplier to ship direct to you :v

Get the ebay one for 70 bucks. They're both plastic, no one can tell the difference and it fits! Why pay double for the brand name?

fwiw, i have seen and fixed both the authentic GV lip and the replica lips for the NB. The main difference is weight. the GV one is noticeably lighter as it is made of thinner ABS plastic. the finish on it is superb. The replica is made of a thicker, porous ABS material that appears to be cast or plastic injected. Both lips were broken so i was able to see a cross section of each lip. The original had a clean break like you would normally see if you were to shatter high grade abs sheets, or acrylic. The replica had a more porous cross section. The the original looked like it was either vacuum or heat formed from a single sheet. Thats just my assumption based on what i know of material properties and rudimentary knowledge of manufacturing techniques.

Well i went with the rspeed GV lip. I called in before ordering it, and i want to say who ever runs the service/front desk was super helpful, and chill. I will hopefully be installing it today but i upload a picture of the packing and other things that came inside.
