Default Fitting body panels...

Alright guys, I recently got around to putting on my front bumper-cover brace (car never had one since I bought it, previous owner was in a fender bender) and now I need to adjust my pop-ups so that all the lines are even and nothing is crooked.

The problem is, while loosening the nuts that hold down the brackets for the pop ups, I broke one of them on each side. If you look at the headlights with the hood popped, they're the ones located on the frame near the headlight motor. As far as I know, there are only two or three nuts holding the headlight bracket on.

This is a problem because the nuts attach to pre-existing bolts that I'm pretty sure are welded in. They're broken too far down to get a nut on without cross threading (which is what I had to do...otherwise the headlights would've been WAY too bouncy). One of the bolts was already broken when I bought the car. I didn't discover that it was broken until later. Both of the bolts that broke are in the exact same spot on each side.

They need to be able to move quite a bit because the passenger side headlight lid hits the bumper cover now when you have the lights flipped down.

Is this even how you adjust the pop-ups to get the lines straight? I don't see any other way...

Im not sure if Im following you but you can adjust them significantly by playing with the bolt that attached the headlight through the fender, just use a few washeres if needed. your talking about the how the whole headlight assembly mounts right?

Yes, I'm talking about the entire headlight assembly mounting points.

I'm not sure what you mean by the bolt that attaches the headlight through the fender...I'm not aware of one?? The only one I know of is one that holds the headlight assembly brackets off of the fender in the engine bay...

ya theres three bolts I believe, 2 at the base 1 at the side near the fender. The stud is attached to headlight on the mounting point. you can tweah the metal at that point or use washers to make things fit better. This is really something that would be easier in person
