You gonna order it, concealer? I'd email them and see if they're not discontinued.

You guys are a funny bunch, i.e. "Wow that looks like shit! .... How did it fit?"

How does that go with women. "Boy, get a bag on her head! ..... How is she in bed, does she have any teeth?"
Well although you did get ripped off, any other person would have at least test fitted it. I know I wouldn't feel too bad if it fit well, versus fitting like shit, at least something went okay, and if it didn't then you can show us.

And of course, opening up this thread I would have expected to see some fake GV tails fitted just for comparison.

Plus some people have the mentality that if its a replica it fits terrible. What about the GV lips that 80% of ClubRoadster has mounted?

I admit that "I just got fucked! I think I will test fit it to see how it looks!" did not cross my mind.

Its not worth saving either, no reason to put good money after bad. There's actually a thing in engineering economics that touches on this; when deciding future spends on an item you should not consider what you already have into it you should only consider what it is worth today plus what future spends would be required to make it right. Just because I paid big money for it doesn't mean its worth it. That money is gone. For my situation it's not worth considering working with this piece.

If 80% of clubroadster has replica lips fitted it means 80% of clubroadster finds the replica acceptable. Doesn't have anything to do with me or this item

You have got to be kidding me. Yes there is an element of truth to that logic but it hardly applies to this situation. You are not talking about ROI on a machine that won't boost productivity enough to be worth modernizing. This is the real world and of course it matters how much money you have in to the part!

I agree you paid way too much for it but how can it possibly be better to start over? So now you have 300 into this and 500 or more into a good panel? You will have the most expensive hind end ever! For a few bucks in sand paper and bondo you could have a pretty nice panel with what you have in short order. Cutting your losses dosn't happen with tossing it in a dumpster, it happens when you make lemon aid out of the lemons you have.

Not like GV designed the lights that they use on their own product

No kidding. I haven't had payments on this car in 17 years so this $400 loss was paid for a long time ago and I won't waste an afternoon screwing around with it.

Cripes, I'm almost glad I sold it instead of posting a video on YouTube crushing it with my truck which was my first thought. Think of the friction that would have generated. Wait a minute.... I haven't shipped it yet...

Of course the way Karma goes, my chest-beating, butthurt stance on this can only mean when I go to mount my real GV panel... drumroll please... it will require a ton of work to get it to fit.

no it's not.

I've seen lemon-aid and lemonaide and even lemonade. Lemon Aide implies you have an aide (assistant) that is a Lemon...this isn't Adventure Time. Lemons can't talk.

Lemons happen to be a major part of society. Think of all the things lemons can be used for...... It lowers blood pressure, helps prevent kidney stones, used for vaginal hygiene(if diluted) , helps removes warts, and most importantly...... Polishes chrome.

Here's the comparison you asked for. No gloppy gelcoat here. Your knockoff looks like the autokonexion fenders I got, one of them must weigh 5-6lbs and the other side weighs 2 or less.

One big difference (other than the entire panel isn't a POS) is the reinforcing rib behind the ears to stiffen them on the real panel. My ghetto copy doent have that and the ears on my fake are both floppy and shaped differently on both sides. They'd have to be bonded to the car or have foam stuffed behind them to conform to the fender

blu92's mariner with a set. These would be one thing I'd be fine getting a replica part. I'd hate to get rear-ended or have someone back into a legit GV panel on my car.

Is that one legit or a replica? I'm guessing its a rep because of the different lights.

I would like to know how he got those trailer LED lights to function. I tried retrofitting those into the altezzas I'm running, and hooked them up per instructions, but whenever the blinker was on and I'd hit the brake then the blinker would just stay on - even the arrow in the cluster.
