THe ebay kit from sick speed comes with all 3 lights and wiring. I bought one and installed it. The finish is just slightly worse than a real GV set. A little sanding and bodywork and its great. fitment is spot on. On the one I got anyway.

Here's my reps, not going to do too much complaining. Fitment isnt horrible, but I had to do some trimming and no bolts , screws were included. No instructions so I have no clue what that second fiberglass piece is and how the hell it is mounted. white gel coat is lumpy and has dips. Nothing too big that your body guy can't fix. Only thing good about the reps were harness plug and play and I bargain the guy to sell me the complete conversion for $300 free shipping.

The lights look just like the real portacabs.

Is everyone getting these from sixspeed? Wondering if they are a potential source for replacement portacab lights?

How are the reps in terms of water leakage? I've heard from real GV owners that they get minor water leakage through the lights.

It keeps water from leaking into your trunk. You've got to seal that panel to the tail lamp opening inside the trunk.

You're thinking about this all wrong. Leak or no leak depends mostly on the quality of the install. Real GV lamps don't leak at all if you install them properly. The problem is most people wouldn't know right from wrong because they don't come with instructions, either. Even if they did they'd be printed in Japanese and so of little use to most people here.

What I've learned from this thread is that, fake or not, converting the rear finish panel/rear lights is a huge hassle which can be avoided by spending the time and money on other parts of the car.

I have the sick speed ones too, same shit. They do leak, on the outside of the taillight. Play around with the other fiberglass piece it will line up and fit, the big hole is for the harness, the other goes the rear, the other goes on the side of the car, you will need to cut some good metal to get a good fit though.

Old thread, I know. I was really thinking about getting the Sickspeed panel or these tails pieces, but I guess I should skip it.
