is there a roll bar thread in this forum? I've searched but did find one. please post your roll bar. thanksZ. does anyone have pictures of bsp roll bars?
No clue. It is a combo of some random Steve Seagal movie (The Glimmer Man that was Hard to Kill while Under Siege and on Deadly Ground?) and some movie where a bunch of kids get shot???
It was posted on a movie blog I read (Film Drunk).
Designed for first generation (1990-1997) plastic rear window convertible tops. Not compatible with the second generation (1999 - 2005) or aftermarket glass rear window convertible tops.
I'm running this exact setup. Same car, same seats, same roll bar, same harness setup.
The stock wind deflector fits well with the roll bar but not with the harnesses. I'm willing to cut the wind deflector to make it fit but doesn't really look like a posible sollution as the harnesses sits so close to the mounting points of the wind deflector.
Any good ideas for a wind deflector sollution for this setup please?
i'm not sure if i should start a question/answer/help thread. pardon me.
I don't see alot of HD Duece bar around here. I've seen a couple of boss frog but from what I've read on this forum its bitch to install. Is d Duece any different? HC, M1 & M2 seem to be every1s favorite. but i like dble hoop look..
That's f*ckin great! I Like the concept!
Kinda looks like the Autopower cage, but not exactly.
More so, it looks like the hard-dog, double diagonal with the added forward bars.
Is it custom?
Just ordered my M1 HCHT Single Diagonal,i cant wait till i get it
a lot of people have the double diagonal, so i figured i would hop on the single, i kinda like how its not perfectly symmetrical
As you can see from the pics above, I'm not going to be going with a Hard Core bar. In fact, I've sort of put off buying a bar at all because I'm worried about it being too short to be safe. The standard Hard Core was just too close to my head.
Not sure the Xtreme really qualifies (it has 4 mounting points, but they're practically right next to each other). I'd go for the Sport, Hard Core, or Hardcore Hardtop.
I just want a bar that accomadates me. I realize that the hardbar is made for all tops, cars etc. but I have trouble with head/seat clearence (surfboard seats). I was hoping that the extreme would remedy that. Any pics of how/where it mounts as opposed to the sport bar?
i have a 2000 nb with a softtop/glass window, i plan on putting harnesses in my car, i want to do it the right way and mount it to the roll bar itself, and i know its kinda a tight setup in miatas, so.. any recommendations to what i should go for?
oh and if it helps, i have corbeau forza seats.. thanksss!
Make sure the rollbar comes with harness bar, if it doesn't, purchase a bolt in harness bar for it. Then make sure you look up online the proper way to wrap harnesses around the bar as well.
I planned on getting a hard dog with a welded in bar, not sure what kind though.. although i was told that id probably have more room with a bolt in bar, id still rather go with a weld in..
what about the.... "Side Braced Ace w/ Main Hoop Diagonal and Harness Bar in Rear Braces"
would i have more room for the harnesses if the harness bar was welded into the main hoop or the rear braces? and my paps knows how to do all that harness stuff he's been racing sprint cars for over 20 years, so ill just have him help me with that, but thanks for the help and the tip on the harness mounting!

The main hoop is behind the seat, putting the harness bar in the rear braces doesn't give you any extra room.
I had an Ace, and it is a joke.... really small bar. My friends nicknamed my car the handbag, because it looked like a little handle on top. That said, I bought it second-hand from a pretty short fella that did HPDEs with it.
I mean, look at this thing (especially in relation to the seats):
Driver seat is slid all the way back, and then reclined as far as possible, so its fairly upright. My head was just above the bar in driving position (I'm about 6'2")
Cool. Me too. Your leather MSM seats will pull a premium a week before race wars too, if you know what I am saying. Offset expense.
