Any recommendations for seats for people with "larger" rear ends? I right around 230 and a size 38 waist

I'm pretty sure that's not the real model name and it looks like a VIOS III. How do you know it's not a replica?Luckily I had another car when I picked up mine so I didn't have to drive like that.

Ah ok, I only use one for a similar reason since I figure my passengers might not fit (gf definitely won't ).

Yeah lol. I don't want one in my passenger seat either! My GF likes it actually but all my friends are bigger than me

My girlfriend is about the only person who can fit in my seats. Anyone over 5'7" and/or over 160 lbs. can forget about getting in my car, haha. She's at ~110 lbs. and I can barely get the harnesses adjusted small enough to fit her.

It's because your seats are mounted too high lol.

Yeah, I'm on modified stock rails. But we're both 5'7" - they work perfect for us. I don't care if behemoth friends can't sit comfortably, they're only in the car for a minute anyways.

110lbs? Is she 12?

(In all seriousness, I weighed that much when I was 11)

What seats transfer over into NA miatas that are bolt on. I know some of the newer Miata seats look pretty nice from the NB and up generations. Would be nice to find a bolt in affair on the stock rails/sliders.

Not entirely sure what you're asking, but NB seats are pretty direct bolt ons for NA's and vice versa.

And for the people who say an Evo won't fit in an NA.....

Here's proof it will.

It looks like it's rubbing the door panel, but it's not. There's about a quarter inch of clearance. It's right up against the transmission tunnel though.

A couple custom brackets made of 10g steel, and voila.
I'm happy to see this. I had an EVO in my Subaru a few years ago and really liked it. I've gained a bit of weight since then though. Might have to go down to OG Racing and see if I still fit lol.

Yes thats what I was looking for.

Example, my Integra shares the same bolt pattern with a similar generation Civic, as well as the nice Recaro SRD's that the overseas models came with. Was curious what was out there for Miatas...S2000 seats may have to be fab'd to work though as I think they would be ideal in my NA.

I'm temporarily running an EVO as my passenger seat. If you're over about 5'8", it's not a good fit. You have to mount the seat high to clear the door card and clear the transmission tunnel. It's simply too wide in the wings and at the front.

The EVO that ComicArtist posted is only slightly lower than the one in my car. My driver's seat (Cobra Imola, no sliders) is literally about 3" lower than my passenger.
