Default Seat Side Retention Pad from RSpeed?

So has anyone tried these? Looks like a cool idea.

They do look interesting. Also Rspeed not Rev9.

i love that idea. being a bigger guy myself (not height...) trying to get into a slammed go kart isn't buttery smooth *mmmm* and usually i gotta do the sit sideways and spin in. but in the 2 months i've owned my miata i see the left bolster is a bit soft. could use this for sure

My door bars already do this for me but it's a good idea.

Thanks for the input guys, I take it no one has any experience with these. Yellowyata, do you feel that the stiffened seat bolster helps with driving.

Personally, I do for hard driving and for just a nicer, snug fit anyway but I realize everyone's preference and body size is different. With door bars, there is something solid that digs into your leg every time you get out which is kind of awkward and takes some getting used to.

Perhaps these seat bolsters feel the same? I don't know. One thing's for sure about Miata driver seats, that outboard side bolster sure wears out after some years. I bet this is a cool product. Won't work with BF door bars but good to see on the market.

Edit: I suspect these won't work with BF door bars but not sure. I don't see how since the seat bolster is pushed up by the door bar that there wouldn't be room for this product. But heck, there's only three people or so with BF door bars anyway so this only affects us.

I guess I'm going to have to be test dummy for these. I'm probably too big for them though lol. At 6'2" and 240, I'm not a small guy.

I haven't yet. I'm wanting to get the car dropped first and also want to try out some bride seats. I'll buy these if I'm too fat for them (6'2" 240).

Just kinda tough to say a piece of plastic is worth 50 bucks. Plus I can lower myself down in the Brides.... just hope I'm not too fat for them lol.

if i had a garage and power tools i would agree, but when you live in an apartment complex and no means or talent to fabricate your own stuff, i'd say it's worth it
