I want to make a database for "I made it myself" door pulls. Post pictures, discuss how to procedures, what materials to use, what clips mount it with, differences in model year, problems you've come accross and final product photos.

I don't have any pictures on hand but if you want to use nylon straps, lengths of webbing can be bought cheap-as-fuck from REI (outdoors type store, if you don't have one) in a billion different colors. Also, using a soldering iron to shape nylon is a lot easier/better than than any other option. Or just cut it and burn down the edges with a lighter.
Door pulls rule, though, I did them as a mild weight savings exercise and to simplify the interior, thinking I'd have to live with them being a bit annoying or awkward to use compared to the handles, but they really aren't. They work fine and my passengers tend to 'get it'. |
