Hi Guys,

I have heard a lot of great things about Replica Brides and that you can barely tell the difference in looks but the comfort level is not as good. I will sacrifice the comfort a bit as long as they are safe.

Could some of you post some links to where you bought your replica's with a short review? I googled this and have not gotten to far. I see that the company Variant pops up a lot when searchin for replica Bride's but I cannot find a website for them anywhere.

If your ever in SF stop by that ebay vendor's stpre. I picked up a pair for slightly under $400. Only concern is waist size. I am a 32 and was snug. I dont think anyone over that waist size would be very comfortable.

I am 6' 2" with a 32" waist so hopefully I will be alright.

I just installed mine, Stock sliders and those universal mounts you just posted, I'm also 6'0" 32 waist

Should get some scotchgaurd or 303 upholstry protector on those red seats. Red fabric seats fade pretty poorly over time because of the sun and sweat.

why would you buy reps? Honestly, think about your safety, those things have no safety ratings, imagine if you get in an accident. All I'll say is you get what you pay for, save up and buy the real thing, don't fake the funk

Thats one thing I was worried about is safety. Is there any proven info that replicas are un-safe? I think they are just cheap because of the cheap material not integrity but prove me wrong.

You'll need it for sanctioned races (serious stuff). track days don't require jack squat.

Yeah, miata challenge doesnt even require it.

Unless you get into time attack or some form of wheel to wheel, you don't NEED it. Still smart to have. Peace of mind.

I'd laugh my ass off in those rep companies ever got their seats tested and passed, wouldn't surprise me. There isn't much different between seats. The real brides have nicer cushions though.

Hmmm I wonder if there is somewhere to actually bring them and get tested. I would buy these and get them tested to give everyone peace of mind.

..that would be stupendously expensive...you could buy about 5 FIA certified carbon kevlar race seats for how much that would cost.

Yes, I've researched both the Corbeau A4 and Buddy Club seats and they fit with little modification.
