phew. luckily i somewhat have power steering (slight leak thanks to me being low) with my boss hub. so that makes me feel a lil better. glad to hear you're ok tho
damn another one =/ glad you're okay. i was about to order an ebay boss hub too -_- how long did yours last before that happened? and have you been driving aggressively on it?
I always think about this when I'm going to go drive hard through back roads. I have a Daikei but it's still in the back of mind. Good thing there was no one around when that happened man.
That had to be a bitch when it broke. If you were pushing it hard in a turn the car & possibly you would have been FUBARed. I don't understand how they get away with selling this junk without getting the crap sued out of them. Glad you & the car are okay.
I think the only reason they don't get in any trouble is cause it says track use only or whatever. Hopefully no one gets hurt by this happening. I got lucky.
yup exactly ^ what are other options as far as good hubs go? daieki boss is about 89, momo 75, anyone out there know cheap priced hubs THAT WORK good, like the megan EZ streets of hubs lol. Not trying to thread jack, i just wanna know what to consider
Track Use Only is pretty much the biggest crock of **** there is. If someone was on a race track when one of these broke, people could potentially die. Anything "Track Use" only should be built like a brick **** house.
Well it's to have minimum liability for exactly these reasons.
You can't attack them for selling a sub-par product when you were using it and it broke while on the streets... and if you broke it on the track.. well.. ****...
Kind of impossible to attack anyone for a product when you were fucking racing. hahahaha
Glad to hear nothing happened. Could there have been too much torque applied to the nut holding the hub? It may have compromised the integrity of the hub?
Damn! Same thing happened to me recently although it was in my driveway. I'd highly recommend the Daikei hub. I bought the plug and play one from Alex at Rspeed and he shipped it the same day. Definitely not cheap but its a SOLID hub and fits great.
Yeah I think I'm gonna get a dakei. They seem like they're really worth it.
