i saw that these were a new release according to their website and was wondering if anybody has these yet. hows the quality of the coilover? hows the ride quality? how low do they do? i was thinkin about doing these but i wanna get yalls opinions before hand :fab:
Heard good reviews on Street series with only a couple people saying they're a bit stiff. 8/6 should be much better for the real world, plus $250 less on MSRP. Don't really need 32 levels of adjustment.
thats a pretty good price. i have the streets on right now which to me ride pretty good and not as stiff as everyone keeps saying. at this price i kinda wanna buy these just to see what the difference is if any.
Anyone catch that the EZ's are monotube?
I'd love to see a dyno of them and I would be interested in shock legnth.
Could be a budget supershock but all depends on dyno.
i like my megan coilovers on my msm but i have the street series and the damping is really good with the 10/8 spring rates.I DD my car and have my damping on 30 so two clicks away from full soft and is a very smooth ride and if i set the damping too two its very stiff there good all around coilovers mine were 900 so that wasn't a bad price and i think the ez street is the same with softer spring rates and less damping. i recomend you get them
I was wondering the same thing I wanna put them on my 90, but i found this instead. kinda wondering whats the difference and is it worth almost a grand or should I look at something else for that kind of $$$?
for a total of $900 I put the following on my car:
- gc coils
- isc racing tops (new)
- resuspension bump stops
- nb bilsteins (used then re-valved)
- rb hollow bar
All that for UNDER $900 shipped...that's a damn good track setup that's on my car now...so based on that I'm having a hard time biting the bullet on cheesy coilovers for $800+
just purchased a set of the EZ streets, i'll prolly wait for wheels to throw them on, i can say that ive had the regular streets before on a different chassis and i loved them, you can't beat what you get for the amount of money you spend..
i own a set of EZ-streets, im pretty happy with them, im actually really happy with what i got for my dollar, i could maybe post a review or write-up if anybodies interested?
hahaha, thats where it's from actually, the name stuck...i'll get that write-up when i can, prolly later today....should i post here? or start a new thread?
They have 115mm of shock shaft travel, with a 1.5" long bump stop and a 220mm long threaded shock body up front. In the rear, 85mm shock travel, same 1.5" general bumpstop in all of their other coil-overs and a 170mm long threaded shock body in the rear. Unmodified bumpstops will leave 3" of front travel and 2" of rear travel at full droop.
I have the street series, would not even mind paying less for these with rubber mounts. Of the 32 way adjustability, I only really use the middle 10 clicks of adjustment, too stiff there's too much compression, too soft not enough rebound. In the mid settings, is where it's at. I will be doing bump travel measurements with my Street Series and will be cutting bumpstops accordingly and will be testing them with different spring rates. The STREETS came with 10/8, I will be going to 10/7 or 12/8 next on RE-11 tires.
Don't you wish this kind of information was available from other shocks? As far as bump travel and what not?
