First off I want to mention that ive been around the block many times fixing up cars and purchasing from various vendors of the years so I know great service and products when I find them. That being said, I wanted to comment on my dealings with Maxime from REV9.
I purchased a set of RS Products gauge faces from him a little while ago after I had sold my AWD gauges due to a change in direction of my car. Max had recomended these to me after we had traded emails for a while on what my car was going to look like and what I was going to do with it. I was a bit skeptical at first because I was in the process of toning down my ideas for my car that had run in my mind for so long. Either way, I found Max to be very informative and helpful in aiding my ideas along with what to do with my interior. After much thinking, I decided to bite the bullet and get them. Ill admit, at first, i was a little skeptical if I would like them or not since the vintage/retro look is new to me.
After about a 8 days from ordering them, they got to my door step. First thing that hit my mind after looking at them in person: Holy crap they look sooo much better in person! These are awesome! I showed em off to some folks and everyone loved em. Install was easy and fast and the finished product is just a treat to look at:
On a personal note, its rare now a days to find great customer service and great pricing on the JDM goodies alot us of love. I know what its like to be screwed over multiple times from con artists and theives. REV9 has definatley gone above and beyond my expectations as to what a great, customer oriented company is. Mind you folks, this isnt the only thing that Im buying from Max. Im a life long customer for many other parts that he carries, and parts he can get me. So in summary, BUY FROM REV9!!!! You wont be dissapointed!!!
I wanted to mention that my experiances with RSpeed, Fuij-Racing, Racing Lifestyle, and Planet Miata have all been PHENOMINAL in theyre help, support and customer service as well. Clubroadster.net has an AMAZING group of vendors that really care about our cars and I wanted to Tip my hat to all of our vendors here!
REV9 is especially good for those in Canada... great experience all around. I have gotten a hardtop, lots of Mazdaspeed goodies from Japan, a RSR exhaust, and gotten in on the group buys for RS Products. MAx has also has alot of good connections for quality JDM parts and can get almost anything.
I will agree with all that have posted re REV 9 . To date I have purchased an RS headlight induction lid. The first one go lost in transit. NO issue he had another sent. Nicely done. I have additionally bought back issues of Roadster as well as a new hub and likely more down the road. What is important to know know here is if you give him something your looking for he continues to search for you. Not pushy and willing to help. I have enjoyed my dealings and rest assured will be dealing much more in the future.
Adding to the Rev 9 reviews, nothing but pure awesome. I have bought a number of products from Max now from the site it self, too group buys here on the forum ( Jet Stream CF TSI, Jet Stream Plug Cover, Pole Pos. Key, New Hyper Rev, and a set of brand new Nissan March side markers.) Each transaction was painless. Shipping is super fast even coming from Japan. Plently of great communication via e-mail and Cr.net, Max even takes the time to let his customers know of great products they might be interested in. In my case some titainium bolts for steering wheels.
Over view:
Price: Most of my parts being carbon and shipping out of Japan, Prices are a bit lower then one would expect, although quality parts arent cheap B+
Shipping: None of my purchases i have boughten from Rev 9 have taken over a week to arrive. Included with each purchase is a tracking #. Items are packed to survive the long trip from Japan. Sturdy boxes and bubble wrap are included. A+
Communication: My favorite part of doing business with Max is the communication. Any question you have will get answered. Updates are NOT far and few between. You are kept in the loop with your purchases. It is rare these days to find such and caring, responsable seller these days. A+
Overall from my experences with REV 9 i would give an A-. I highly recommend anyone thinking of doing buisness with Max to do so. You wont be disipointed.
Thread from the dead... Im annoyed to say the least. I ordered over a week ago from this company. Ive tried to email to find out about my order two seperate times, no response I cant find a number to call and im quite irritated at the fact that I was charged my money so fast and im getting NO customer service.. doesnt add up. I like how they look and everything but im debating on not ordering from them anymore. I had a list of things I wanted from there but idk anymore..
We're getting overload in emails these days because of holidays and such, I'm sorry but we're doing our best to answer everyone as soon as possible. I just found your email from December 12th and I was about to respond today, I'm sorry but I have been working non-stop during all weekend and just can't catch up fast enough on some emails.
Your order shipped on December 10th by AIR and should arrive within 3-10 business days from that date.
Again, sorry for the time it took to ship it and answer emails, but we are doing our best to do everything in a timely manner.
It was a preloved shift knob which I emailed him previous and he replied saying it was in stock. I got a confirmation and a shipment email with a shipping number but not a tracking number. And thats as far as anything went. Afaik
Meh, I guess I'll give it a bit longer, but it's not cool to leave me hanging like that, I mean I read about all the good customer service, but where is it at. I know I'd be on top of all that. But I guess I'll post back and let you guys know the final result of what happened, hopefully for the better. =\
I'm on the 9th day, we'll see what's up. I'm trying not to be impatient but it's almost xmas and I wants! lol..
Winter weather, customs, and the increase in shipping service use for the holidays can slow the transport of parcels. But of course, we all already knew that.
9 days? Boo hoo. I've had to wait six months to get parts before.
So impatient, these kids. Rev9 is good people.
That's not the point, it's the point that he can't respond to two emails, and they don't even have a contact number, I've waited a couple months in the past before as well, I wasn't to happy but yeah it happens. If he doesn't have time to respond to them all there's a solution... wait for it..... waiiit......
Hire more people!
I believe they're good people but why not get back to my emails. I'm a concerned customer, you do not leave concerned customers in lee way... EVER in customer service.
Op has a point, its not about the wait period, its about discipline and customer service,I dont like the idea how people are criticizing the op for simple agitation he mentioned about being professional. So its easy to respond to emails before you purchase the product, and after that you should stay quiet and expect no communication till its delivered? I am not saying rev9 is bad,but op's demand for an email or two is within reason.
I know where you're coming from but I own a business as well and this is the rule of thumb with any business,Customers are always right! Even if the customers are at fault you cant tell them they are wrong.
I am not defending williamz or basing my opinion on his response to this whole matter,I am simply stating the fact that he has mentioned twice that he just wants to hear something back from them,so when you charge someone MONEY be prepared to be on top of the game. How would you feel if amazon charges you 700$ for a video card and fail to reply your emails for 9 days! All of this wouldnt be here in the first place if he simply had a mail sent to him lol.
Exactly, and how would I be going about anything wrong, I just stated my situation for opinion and how I felt about it, I never took action toward anything.
I have also purchased from Rev9 and it was a smooth transaction but sometimes things "fall thru the cracks" and its never fun being the one it happens to. :icon_cheers:
Same sentiments as the other guy, ordered part, quickly charged my card, but no replies to emails. I don't expect lightning quick responses, but when your phone service says 24-48 hours for an email reply then I expect a reply within that time frame. But nothing yet. Are they even around anymore? If I don't get a reply soon, I'm just going to dispute the charge through my credit card provider.
Its a small team. But yes, he pretty much handles all emails and transactions on his own.
I do little stuff here and there.
