I just installed a Fuji-Racing 1.6 chro-moly flywheel with a Spec Stage II clutch in my 1997 M-Edition.
It's an awesome combination - the car feels a little peppier in every gear, but it absolutely rips through first and second. It revs like a sport bike in neutral, and rev matching is much quicker. There is a slight buzz from the transmission between about 2500-3500 rpm - it's only noticeable with the top down, and it's not obnoxious. The engine feels smoother when accelerating, and the lightness of the flywheel seems to have amplified the peaky-ness of the BP - it pulls much harder after 4000 rpms.
It's not hard to drive - it's just like learning to drive a different clutch. It is slightly more difficult to launch hard, as it's a little harder to hold the engine at a specific RPM.
I can't comment on the power holding ability of the clutch as my car is stock, and the clutch isn't broken in yet. The feel is better than the OEM clutch - the engagement is higher and the effort is the same as stock.
I highly recommend this combo to anyone that wants a sport-ier feeling (and faster) Miata. The car is much more fun to drive this way, and it will make the car faster on the autocross course.
