Hi folks,

Just want to share my experience with Chikara's new production part here. I recieved my clutch line just last friday and I'm very pleased with the results!

Comparison:

I guess I'll give a brief introduction to why I chose this line from Ocean over the other brands out there:

1. Construction - Well planned out, one of the major advantages of this line is the 45degree bend that is near the slave cylinder. One of my major setbacks for changing to stainless lines was that their strength is dependant on whether they are twisted, etc. When torquing down the line, it will twist and add stress to the line fitting and hose. The 45degree bend virtually gets rid of this type of twisting as you're able to align the hose first before twisting it down.

2. Materials - I've heard horror stories of lines bursting, rubbing etc. The material's are made from BrakeQuip and are of the highest quality. Unlike some other brands out there, many of them are offshore. Quite frankly I need to trust my lines not only on the street but at track. The fittings are very high quality and made in the USA. The adapter threads that attach to the slave cylinder are even made of stainless steel!

3. Design - Ocean's kit actually is lined up to reduce any kinking and any stress introduced after installation, everything is aligned and not at any weird angles where it the hose may be twisted up. Especially under pressure, you dont want to introduce any stress concentrations.

Also the fitting going to the hardline is manufactured exactly like the OEM line. For me it means reassurance of the quality and the strength:

Additional information that made this product attractive:

- DOT approved
- Warranty
- Looks sexy as hell
- Reliable design

Definately getting rid of the OEM pigtail cleans up the mess a bit. Helps with doing clutch installs a lot easier too and much more room to work around under there.

I kinda wish it weren't such an unseen part, the quality and look is just amazing!

Thanks for the great product Ocean!

Nice write-up and nice choice.

I may have to get this!

I have a stainless line, but it stops where the lower hardline begins. I like the idea of getting rid of the pigtail and having a clean install with just one line.
