This is hardly a new product, but I've never seen detailed pix of the uninstalled kit.... or really GOOD pix of the installed thing. So out came my camera and toys.

My helpers for this one are Ravage and Soundwave. Hit my blog up for more pix of their installation "help."

THIS blew me away. This is the presentation sheet that Dewa-san packs all the parts on. In this shot, all of the parts are unwrapped and laying on their protective bags. Just incredible presentation. And easy to follow instructions in both English and Japanese.

Before I go on, I have to pimp Rod's awesome customer service. I sent him an email asking if he thought I'd be able to get this set within several months. He mailed back and said "I donno, let's see." 2 weeks later, I had the parts in my hands. http://tginferno.blogspot.com/ and http://www.tetsuyagarage.com/ Thanks again, Rod!!!

I had to go for the chrome A/C ring. It was a few hundred yen extra, but so pretty. And it's also the low point of the installation experience. Everything else is laid out for you. Double sided tape is even supplied. The A/C ring says "install is option" or something like that. I looked at it for a few minutes and grabbed the clear silicon. A small bead around the inside held it in place fine. Still, the only part of the install that wasn't easy as pie.

The HVAC display fits so nice by itself, it's almost a crime to cover it up. But... well... how could I leave that shiny cover off?

The illumination is VERY nice. This is one aspect of the panel that's had no shortage of photos. The amber lighting is beautiful. I've gotta design another set of gauge faces to have this same lighting. And I'm lucky that my center gauges are a pretty close match already.

Installed with some pretty autumn leaves reflecting in the background. The finish of these parts was another thing that left me speechless. It's brushed aluminum, but it's about the shiniest brush I've ever seen. It fits well with both a chrome interior and a brushed interior. Very reflective. Two thumbs up.

Sharka's whole center console. I opted to change my red hazard button out for the 96-97 black one when I did this. I like the look more and the lighting matches MUCH nicer.

The fit and finish of this whole kit just just off the scale. Incredible. These are the things you can't really tell until you own it. I'm a very happy car geek right now.

And thanks again, Rod!

Nope, those are KG Works chrome buttons. I've had them for years. I bought them so that I could see where the sliders were at night from the reflection. heh. Years ago, I would have killed for some light-up sliders.

whoa, how'd i miss this!? that's a really nice piece! man, I'm slowly but surely trying to get my interior to be half of what yours is.

I know you love your J.F. as much as I do!
You should add some pix of yours to the Joyfast review!
