CSC Racing Rollbar

Hi everyone,

I'd just like to write another review about the recent roll bar I received and have installed.

Although many people have had good experiences with Harddog and Bossfrog, I had shitty experience with my old Harddog Sport for NA with single diagonal. Fitment was absolute crap, it required very much pulling and cursing and even then, the damn thing wouldn't fit properly.

CSC racing is located in Ontario, Canada. I first heard about this company through the "what came in the mail thread". A few things I liked about the product they offer (before I received it) is that they offer a bar that goes to the floor pan. Also being located in Canada myself, the shipping and duty hassle doesn't exist. The price is also considerably cheaper if you factor in shipping, etc.

I opted for a no-diagonal design. With my previous single diagonal I found I didn't really like the rear visibility with any diagonals. Though I should mention that they offer a dual diagonal design.

When the package finally arrived... my heart sank. Here's why:

They did NOT wrap the bar properly. It was shipped with just bubble wrap, but the funny this is they left corners, etc. all exposed. The bar was received in shoddy cosmetic condition.

As you can see.... the bar was marked up by the time I received it. Shipping company would NOT reimburse me for these damages as it was due to poor packaging.

Second issue I had was that they decided to ship the backing plates attached to the bar with hardware already. The issue is that the monkey who decided to do this torqued down the bolts waaaay too damn tight. The hardware was deformed when I pulled it all off.

Aside from these issues, the fitment was spot on. No cursing, bar went in as expected. Another note though is that they do not offer any instructions, the install is very straight forward though.

Summary:

Would I buy the product again?
Probably, but with expectations much lower for the finish. Fitment is much much much better than the harddog crap I had.

Would I recommend you to buy it? Depends, for me the price was hard to argue with. New hardware and paint costed me around $60... I would prefer someone to know what they're receiving since it feels discomforting to spend additional $60 on crap that should have had no issues.

Did the bar improve stiffness? Yes, definitely has improved. Going over driveways, etc. you can tell the bar is doing its job.
