tl;dr:

The Good: They're well made look great are packaged well and ship quickly.

The Bad: They scratch too easily and the tape used to attach them can be finicky.

The bottom line: Damn good value for money when compared to their Japanese counterparts.

Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls it's once again that time to explore a great staple in the Miata aftermarket. Yes, that great liberator of Miata owners everywhere saving us from dreary black plastic and boring interiors; the vent ring.

Upon receiving your ambassador of shine you'll be pleased to note the excellent packaging. They sit in individual baggies, where they're put in to another baggy, which is then wrapped in some serious looking bubble wrap and then tightly placed in to a cardboard box. Not even the shattered dreams of a disgruntled Fed-Ex employee could get through that.

They are attached with double sided 3M tape which isn't really that great. It lets the whole thing down when your beautiful new interior bits don't stay in place when lightly tapped. This is easily remedied however, so eh, no big deal.

Besides that, they're of good thickness and don't feel flimsy. They shine beautifully and are comparable to their $400 AWD counterparts. The ultra fine details are missing from the RSpeed rings, but at this price I can't complain. They're excellent value for money.

The boring plastic stock ring, soon to be covered by the metal of excellence.

The glorious new ring.

Despite their excellence, I must say that they scratch a bit easier than I expected. I mean the lightest brush with a fingernail can be enough, so be careful during installation and whatever you do don't drop them on to concrete or anything rough. The resulting damage would be soul-crushingly awful.

Over all I would give it an A, 9/10, would purchase again.
