This is a feedback for the basic street koni shocks. I thought my original shocks were nearing the end due to the fact that my suspension was somewhat soft and the mileage on my miata was already 140k.So I bought a set of Koni str.t expecting that it would be somewhat of an upgrade over the oem shocks. I was wrong. After removing the springs out of the shock assembly I was checking the compression and rebound on the oem shocks by pressing down on the shaft just a little bit, and I noticed that it had considerably more resistance that the Koni's.So I'm gonna wait until my original shocks blows before putting the konis back inn. My original springs must be getting saggy or it must come soft from the factory.

So what, everyone has a different opinion,so you would only believe one person's opinion? I blew many shocks before including KONI.Anyways I just found out that my front konis had a light oil leak, I'm gonna have to send it back to tirerack for a new one. This is a case of a bad batch. I will post a new feedback when I get my new front set. However, durability can be questionable, this not something that I would expect from koni. But at the same time there's a stamp on the shocks saying that koni is engineered in Holland but made in Argentina. Basically stating that it was outsourced meaning that quality could no longer be the same as it used to be.

I just finished installing the rears, I drove it for a few miles overall its a little stiffer than my original shocks when it was new. The car is no longer slamming down when going over bumps. In addition, its has a sportier feel. Its DEFINITELY an upgrade over the oem shocks and Tokico blues.I'm still waiting on a new front set from tire- rack.Other than the defect shock I received, I am definitely happy with the product.

No, time is money receiving blown shocks is something no one likes. However, I received and installed the front shocks today. I drove it for 150 miles, not bad the whole set is fresher than what I had. Overall it's just right for the oem springs. I am a little disappointing in receiving tainted shocks, It's a waste of time, but other than that this is not bad for the price. I know that Konis website say's that the str t. can accommodate lowering springs, but these shocks are not stiff enough to handle the increase spring rate of lowering springs. Maybe racingbeat springs, but for FM springs and pro-kits koni, sport yellow is the way to go. So yeah,I'm definitely happy with the damping quality of the product. Make sure to check new shocks you receive for the tiniest leaks.
