Need some wheel size help!

I searched but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Anyway will a 15x7 wheel with a 1/2" offset or 4" backspacing work on a stock Miata? I plan on lowering it but not a whole lot.

The seller said 4" backspace is a 1/2" offset. Is that right?

I'm noob when it comes to this, sorry.

Could be, but just to be safe here is a handy calculator that was posted a while back.

from what I can figure out a 15x7 with 4" backspace is a 0 offset.
